Gateshead residents are invited to take part in an online meeting this week with police.

The event takes place on Wednesday, July 11, from 7pm to 9pm and officers from the Gateshead East Neighbourhood Policing Team will be ready to answer questions. Residents from Felling, Heworth, Leam Lane, Pelaw Wardley and Windy Nook are invited to take part. Police are keen for as many people as possible to go online and get involved.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Rob Wileman said: "Residents can log on and hear what police have been doing in the area to tackle the issues that affect them the most, as well as raise any concerns they may have about crime and disorder.

"People can log on at any time during the two-hour web chat to ask questions or raise issues."

To take part - go to www.northumbria.police.uk/online and go to the Gateshead East online meeting link - and join in. People can ask questions or raise any issues with local officers and other members of the public who log on. Those wanting to take part can also set an email reminder via this link.
