Motorcyclist injured in Northumberland crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash in Northumberland.
At 2:15pm on Wednesday, August 18, a Suzuki Swift and a Honda Hornet motorbike collided on the B6348 Bellshill to Chatton road near the junction with the road to Belford.
Police and ambulance staff attended and the rider of Honda, a 54-year-old local man, suffered serious injuries to his legs and hip.
He was airlifted to the RVI hospital for treatment. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the Swift, a 68-year-old local woman, was left shaken but uninjured.
A section of the B6348 was closed for around two hours to allow for collision investigation to take place.
