Gardening equipment stolen

Police are appealing for witnesses after gardening equipment was stolen from a hospital in Sunderland.

The burglary happened between 2pm on Tuesday, August 19, and 8am on Wednesday, August 20. A storage container in a secure compound within Monkwearmouth Hospital, in Newcastle Road, was broken into.

The items that were stolen include a lawn mower, strimmer, leaf blower and a hedge cutter - the make of the items is Stihl. A petrol jerry and a watering lance were also taken.

Officers are carrying out enquiries into the burglary and appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
