Police hunt Easter Egg thief

Police are looking for a thief who stole almost £100 worth of Easter Eggs from a shop in Newcastle on Good Friday.

At 2.25pm on Friday April 2 a woman went into the Co-Operative store on Cedar Road in Fenham posing as a customer, took more than 10 Easter Eggs from a display and left the store with them without paying.

Police have today released CCTV images of a woman in the shop at the time of the theft who officers would like to speak to as she may have important information about the crime.
