Police training event a success

THE region's emergency services came together with Newcastle City Council for one of a number of specialist training days aimed at preparing for a major incident.
Northumbria Police, Tyneand Wear Fire and Rescue Service and the North East Ambulance Service and supported by the local authority,lead the event at the Metro Radio Arena.
The day was part of an ongoing multi-agency training package for responders dealing with a Chemical Biological, Radiological or Nuclear (CBRN) incident.
The training ensures the emergency services are fully prepared for any situation and can respond to incidents in the most efficient and safe way to protect members of the public.
