Joint pub patrols

Police and partners have been carrying out extra patrols in Wallsend pubs to prevent alcohol fuelled disorder.
Officers from the Wallsend Neighbourhood Policing Team were joined by staff from Never Too Late (N2L), a young people's drug and alcohol service, to give advice to youngsters. The operation aimed to tackle disorderly behaviour during the busy weekend period.
Police teamed up with N2L staff who handed out leaflets and advice to younger customers about help they can get about youth drug and alcohol issues.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Matt Bruno said: "We work closely with Wallsend Pubwatch and local off-licences to help prevent underage drinking and stop alcohol fuelled disorder which can result."
