Police are appealing for information after a bike worth £3,000 was stolen from the Cobalt business park in North Tyneside.
At 12:04pm on Thursday, April 12, thieves cut through fencing at the Santander business premises and took the bike that had been secured outside of the building.
The bike is a red and white Pinarello model with an FP 3 Carbon frame and deep section carbon training wheels.
Officers are carrying out enquiries into the theft and believed there were two youths in the area in hooded tops around the time of the theft.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has any information into the whereabouts of the bike is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
North Tyneside Area Command DI Neil Brotherton said: "This was a very expensive bike that was taken and from CCTV in the area we know there was two youths in hooded tops hanging around the Santander car park around the time the bike was taken.
"The victim had locked his bike up but the thieves cut through it - this would have taken sometime and I'd appeal for anyone who saw anyone suspicious in the area on Thursday to contact us.
"It's getting to that time of the year when people are using their bikes more and I want to remind cyclists just how important it is to protect their bikes.
"Use good quality locks and security devices when leaving your bike and leave it somewhere safe. I'd urge everyone working on the Cobalt business park, and anywhere within North Tyneside, to keep their eyes open for suspicious people hanging around carparks and bike sheds and report it to us if they see anything."
