Appeal after burglary in Houghton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Houghton.

At around 10.55pm on Saturday April 14 police attended an address on Gillas Lane where offenders had broken into an upstairs flat.

The offenders are believed to have used a ladder to gain entry and have made off with a quantity of jewellery and cash.

Anyone who may have been in the area at the time or witnessed anything is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191 or independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
