More arrests Newcastle shooting

Police investigating a shooting in Newcastle of a 24-year-old man have made two further arrests.
Two men have been arrested on Wednesday, April 25, following enquiries by detectives. A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and a 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both men are currently helping police with their enquiries.
The shooting incident happened on Monday, April 16, in the vicinity of Monkchester Road in Walker. The victim suffered a single gun shot wound to the arm and he is now recovering.
Previously on April 18, a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing wounding and a 30-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, both have been bailed pending further enquiries.
