Cars stolen in North Shields robbery

Police are appealing for information after a robbery where two cars were stolen in North Shields.
Just before 9pm yesterday two masked men stole two cars from an address in the town after threatening the occupier.The householder was not injured during the incident
One of the cars, a Porsche, was found around half an hour later in Octavia Court, Wallsend. The other car, a silver Ford Fiesta, has not yet been traced.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw a Porsche being abandoned in Octavia Court sometime after 9pm.
North Shields Neighbourhood Inspector Geoff Cross said: "This was an unusual incident and I'd seek to reassure people that patrols are being stepped up in the area where this happened."
