Fire at scrap yard

Information is being sought following a fire at a Newcastle scrap yard.
At 3.15am today, Saturday, June 2, police received a report of a fire at Marshalls Scrap Yard, on Shelley Road, Newburn.
Officers attended the scene along with the fire service.
The fire, which was extinguished at just after 5.10am, caused damaged to 50 scrapped vehicles at the premises.
The incident is being treated as arson and enquiries are continuing.
