Man found injured in city centre

Police are appealing for information after a man was found unconscious in Newcastle city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Officers were called to Old Eldon Square at 3.39am where they found a 20-year-old man with head injuries.
He was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary where his condition is described as critical.
Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of the man's injuries and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
