Appeal to trace cyclist robbery victim

Police are appealing for information about an attempted robbery on Scotswood Bridge.
Around 11am on Sunday, May 6, police patrolling the area witnessed an incident on the Gateshead side of the Scotswood Bridge.
It appeared three men had approached a cyclist and attempted to steal his bike. One man is believed to have assaulted the cyclist before all three made off empty handed.
Officers followed the three men and arrested them in connection with the incident.
However the cyclist has not reported this to police and officers are keen to trace and speak to him.
