Walker shooting - eight further arrests

Eight further people have been arrested in connection with the shooting that happened in Walker, Newcastle, on Sunday May 27.
On Wednesday night (May 30) police arrested two men and a woman in Walker - ages 34,24,24 - and
three women and two men in Wallsend - ages 53, 51, 25, 32, 55 - all on suspicion of assisting an offender.
One man and one woman arrested in Walker have been bailed, the rest remain in police custody.
The 60-year-old woman and 19-year-old man previously arrested remain on police bail.
The total number of arrests in connection to the incident is now ten.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and police are urging anyone with any information into the shooting to contact them on 101 ext 69191.
