Missing hospital patient

Police are appealing for information to help trace a patient missing from a Newcastle hospital.

Kenneth Sim was granted overnight leave from Hadrian Clinic, on Westgate Road, on Monday, June 28, to stay at his home address in Bridge Street, Haltwhistle.

He was last seen at around 4pm, on June 29, at the Railway Hotel Pub, Haltwhistle where he said he would be catching the bus back to Newcastle.

However, the 65-year-old failed to return to the hospital where he is being treated for mental health issues.

Police are carrying out enquiries to trace Kenneth and are seeking the public's help as they grow concerned for his whereabouts.

Kenneth is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, of stocky build, with grey hair and balding on the top of his head.

He was wearing a blue jumper, grey trousers and blue sailor shoes when he went missing.

Kenneth is known to travel between Haltwhistle and Newcastle. He is also a practising Buddhist and known to frequent places linked to this.

Anyone who may have seen Kenneth or has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101, extension 69191.
