Family event in Killingworth

[View Full Size]Neighbourhood officers joined in all the fun of a community fair in Killingworth.
Officers greeted visitors at the event at North Tyneside Council's Joint Service Centre and spoke to scores of visitors.
Police and Community Support Officer Tim Cousins, who regularly patrols the busy Killingworth centre, said: "These sort of community events are popular and it's a good place for us to get to talk to famillies in an informal way.
"We had lots of people coming to speak to us and were happy to have a chat about policing and provide visitors with crime prevention advice. The children were really keen to ask lots of questions too, which made it a fun event."
The event was well attended with many other organisations present and plenty of activites including a fun fair and face painting to keep families entertained.
