Burglary charges

[View Full Size]Officers were called to Carlisle Way, Holystone, in North Tyneside at 4.44am on Saturday, October 6, following reports of a house being burgled.
Officers attended the address and as they drove into the street a car left the scene and collided with the approaching police patrol car.
Two police officers were in the car suffered injuries and the police vehicle has received substantial damage.
One officer has concussion the other whiplash, both were taken to North Tyneside Hospital where they received treatment and later discharged they are recovering at home.
Two men have now been charged in connection with the incident.
A 40-year-old Shiremoor man and a 39-year-old Gateshead man have been charged with burglary and other offences.
They will appear at North Tyneside Magistrates court on Monday October 8.
