Police are releasing CCTV images in a bid to help solve a number of unsolved crimes across Northumberland.

Enquiries into the thefts and shoplifting incidents have been carried out and officers have been unable to identify those responsible.

They are now releasing the images to the public and are asking for anyone who recognises any of those pictured to get in touch.

Northumberland Chief Insp David Felton said: "Thefts and shoplifting make up a large percentage of the crimes we see in Northumberland and the neighbourhood policing teams are working with local businesses and shop security staff to help try and stop thieves and to prevent the crimes from taking place.

"We want to identify those in the images as we believe they may have information into the crimes and I'd ask anyone with any information to contact us as soon as possible.People with information can ring in anonymously if they wish and can either contact us or Crimestoppers."

Anyone who recognises any of the people in the images is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

When giving information mention Operation Ludo and the individual number of the appeal to the call taker to ensure the information gets passed to the correct team.
