Between Thursday, February 7, and Friday, February 8, officers targeted areas of Tosson Close, Milbank Road, East Green, Queens Road, Allgood Terrace, Phoenix Street and Burnside.

As part of Operation Enterprise, a number of cannabis plants were seized along with items of suspected stolen and counterfeit goods.

Inspector Karen Murray of the Bedlington Neighbourhood Team said: "We are listening to the concerns of local people and taking action.

"The residents of Bedlington have told us about the supply and use of drugs in the area and the crime associated with it. Operation Enterprise is focused on taking robust action to catch those involved in drug-related crime of any sort.

"Together with the information we get from the public, we are determined to cut crime and disorder in the area and keep Bedlington a safe place to live, work and socialise."
