Assault in working men's club

Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault at the Shankhouse working men's club in Cramlington on Saturday, February 16.

At around 11.40pm officer attended the scene on Cliffton Road where there had been an altercation between four men.

Two men attended Wansbeck General Hospital. A 54-year-old man and  a 21-year-old man received treatment for facial injuries and have since been discharged.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
