About My Role
PC Andrew Hyde
As a Neighbourhood Beat Manager on the Outer West Neighbourhood Policing Team, my area of responsibility is Ryton.
My main role is to tackle crime and disorder, to provide a visible uniform presence to reassure the public ensuring trust and confidence.
I aim to achieve this by working with the local community, councillors and other partner agencies tackling the issues that effect the local area.
I believe an NBM provides a vital link between the community and the police, providing a familiar face to local policing. My job is to establish and maintain contact with the community and to help tackle any problems they are experiencing by working closely with them offering a bespoke service tailored to their individual needs.
On a regular basis my role requires close working relationships with a variety of departments within Gateshead Council and resident/community groups.
I have over seven years policing experience, all of which has been in the Gateshead area and previously I worked as a 24/7 response officer covering the Outer West Area.
I am keen to build close ties with the people who live and work here so please do get in touch if you have any policing issues you wish to bring to my attention.
