About My Role
PCSO Diane Reed
I joined Northumbria Police in 2003. I am a Police Community Support Officer in the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team. I patrol in Gateshead Town Centre. My role is to provide visible patrols and assist in the reduction of crime and disorder.
I am keen to build new links within the community and become a point of contact for local residents. I have regular contact with local schools, councillors, community groups and other professional agencies, working together to resolve problems and any resident issues.
Before joining Northumbria Police I worked for Gateshead Youth Offending Team and have also worked in the financial sector.
I wanted to be a Police Community Support Officer so I could work within the community building vital links with local residents and local proprietors. I pride myself in having good communication and listening skills.
