Man injured after car and bus crash

Police are appealing for information after a crash involving a bus and a car in Gateshead.
At 7:15am on Friday, June 22, a Skoda Fabia was travelling east on the B6317 Stella Road, near to Hedgefield House, when it collided with a Go North East single decker bus that was travelling west.
The driver of the Skoda - a 32-year-old man - was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his hip and arm.
He is currently in hospital and his condition is not thought to be life threatening.
A woman passenger - in her 30s - was taken to hospital with non life threatening chest injuries.
The driver and passengers on the bus were uninjured.
A section of the road was closed for around three hours to allow for vehicles to be recovered and collision investigation to take place.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
