Neighbourhood priorities
Northumbria Police aims to meet our commitment to you.
The following Neighbourhood priorities relate to your area:
1. May 2013: Anti Social Behaviour
"What you told us"
There has been an increase in anti-social behaviour in the area around Ellison Road in Dunston.
"What are we doing about it ?”
Additional police patrols are being carried out in this area.
Positive action is being taken when dealing with this type of incident.
Neighbourhood teams are re-contacting victims of anti-social behaviour to provide reassurance and identify repeat or vulnerable victims.
Acceptable Behaviour Agreements are currently being compiled against those causing anti-social behaviour.
Tenancy enforcement visits are also being made to the home addresses of those responsible.
"Keeping you informed"
Three arrests have been made in connection with this problem.
Three Acceptable Behaviour Agreements have been agreed and implemented.
Direction to Leave notices are being issued to those causing disorder while under the influence of alcohol.
2. May 2013: Inconsiderate parking
“What you told us”
Inconsiderate parking in the area of Front Street Whickham and the surrounding area.
“What are we doing about it ?”
Police patrols have been made to specific locations at peak times to deal with this issue. We are also working with Gateshead Council enforcement officers to tackle this issue. Positive action is being taken against those who park inconsiderately.
