Shoplifting and robbery offences were highlighted as possible issues by the retail premises in Kingston Park Retail Park and Gosforth High Street.

We did...

  • Operation Christmas Cracker and an anti-robbery operation ran during December.

  • This included high visibility patrols.

  • A number of stop searches were carried out and a number of arrests were made for shoplifting offences.

Anti-social behaviour and violence against the person in and around pubs at Gosforth High Street.

We did...

  • High visibility patrols were carried out.

  • The re-deployable CCTV camera was moved to Gosforth High Street to prevent and detect crime.

  • This resulted in low levels of disorder reported by the licensees of the pubs during December.
