Youth anti-social behaviour at the Jubilee Estate, particularly fires being set in wheelie bins and stones being thrown at local residents' homes.

We did...

  • Police have worked in partnership with Your Homes Newcastle and Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service staff to target known offenders.
  • Enforcement and education actions have been carried out.
  • There have been increased patrols and Neighbourhood Warden patrols in the area.
  • A 'week of action' took place to clean up the estate and to remove rubbish which was being used to start fires.
  • People have been arrested for some offences.
  • Tenancy enforcement action is also pending against offenders.
