  • There have been increased patrols in the area.
  • We have been working in partnership with a number of agencies and residents via a Stand Alone Problem Solving (SAPS) meeting to address wider issues.
  • The youth bus has been deployed in the area.
  • There has been a reduction in incidents involving anti-social behaviour.

  • Increased patrols have taken place at relevant times when the issue is most prevalent.

Youth anti-social behaviour at the Jubilee Estate, in particular fires being set in wheelie bins and throwing stones at local residents' homes.

We did...

  • Police have worked in partnership with Your Homes Newcastle and Tyne and Wear Fire and rescue Service staff to target known offenders.
  • Enforcement and education actions have been undertaken.
  • There have been increased patros and neighbourhood warden patrols in the area.
  • A 'week of action' took place to clean up the estate and to remove rubbish which was being used to start fires.
  • People have been arrested for some offences.
  • Tenancy enforcement action is also pending against offenders.
