What concerns you about your neighbourhood?

Alcohol related anti-social behaviour on Shields Road, Byker and within the Byker Wall estate.

We did…

Street Drinking has reduced considerably around Shields Road and the East End Pool & Library due to targeting by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team.

A number of alcohol seizures have been made within the Byker Wall Estate and on Shields Road.

Two youths have been summonsed for urinating in a public place (alcohol-related).

Residents were dealing drugs in Cleadon Street, Walker.

We did…

Search Warrant executed at an address on Cleadon Street where three arrests were made at the address on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with the intent to supply.

 

This shows that the relationship between residents and the local Neighbourhood Policing Teams is such that important information is exchanged and effective steps are taken with positive results.
