Car roof slashed

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was damaged in Jesmond.

It happened at about 9pm on Wednesday, February 29, when the red Audi convertible was parked in the rear lane of Osborne Avenue, between the Hanson Hotel and Sandyford Service Station.

The offender used a sharp implement to cut the soft top roof by about 12 inches. Nothing was stolen from the car.
