Man arrested for burglary

A man has been arrested after a report of a suspected burglary in Newcastle.
At 4.45am today, Saturday, April 21, police received a report of damage to a back door at Kingham Court in High Heaton. During a search of the area officers found a 40-year-old man near to the property and he was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
He remains in custody while enquiries are ongoing. Police are still trying to establish if any property has been stolen from the house.
