Car set on fire

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident when a car was deliberately set on fire.
It happened to a car parked overnight between 10pm on Tuesday, March 13 and 6.45am on Wednesday, March 14. The vehicle was parked securely outside an address in Percy Court in Percy Main.
The person responsible forced their way into the vehicle and set it alight causing substantial damage to the interior of the car.
Neighbourhood Inspector Geoff Cross from North Shields said: "This was a senseless act which has caused significant damage. I'm asking for help from the community to find those responsible."
Police are appealing for witnesses anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
