Man charged with aggravated burglary

Police have charged a man with aggravated burglary after a house was broken into in North Tyneside.
It happened at 11.10pm last night, Sunday, July 15, when a man went into a house in Shafto Street in Wallsend armed with a knife.
The occupants were not injured in the incident and nothing was stolen.
A 22-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary and will appear at North Tyneside Magistrates court on Tuesday, July 17.
