Appeal after cars damaged

Dated: 22 Apr 2012

Police are appealing for information after cars were damaged in a North Tyneside street.

It happened at about 4am on Sunday, April 22, when police received a report of wing mirrors being damaged on three vehicles at Oswin Avenue in Forest Hall.

Police are appealing for information, specifically anyone who saw a man and a woman in the street at about the time the damage took place. It's believed the women called the man 'Gary' and police are seeking information from anyone who may know who this person is.

Chief Inspector Mark Anastasi said: "This was mindless criminal damage to three cars where wing mirrors were kicked off, causing frustration, expense and great inconvenience for the owners. We want to trace the person responsible and would ask anyone who has information to get in touch."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
