Pupils' good behaviour awarded by police
Dated: 26 Apr 2012
[View Full Size]Pupils at a North Tyneside school have been given a police award.
Community Support Officer Matthew Cornfield paid a visit to Carville Primary School, in Wallsend, to hand over certificates to the youngsters.
These were in recognition of the school children's good behaviour over last term.
CSO Cornfield, who is part of the Wallsend Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "It's important that the children who really do well at school get recognised for their hard work and effort.
"Engaging with the pupils in this way lets them become familiar with their local neighbourhood officers while at the same time rewards them for their good behaviour.
"We also want pupils and young people in the area to feel comfortable in coming to speak to us and events like this can only help us meet this aim."
