Why are we recruiting Neighbourhood Police volunteers?

As a Neighbourhood Police Volunteer your wide range of skills and experience will support us in building effective relationships with the community.

The new Rothbury Police Station, on the main front street in Rothbury, opened to the public in May 2009. The station is not currently open to the public unless a Police Officer is present and available to deal with visitors.

Building up a team of volunteers to support the work of other staff will enable the police station to be ‘open for business’ at peak periods, meaning we’re providing a better service to the community.
