Disorder in Seahouses is causing problems at Seafield car park and outside pubs at closing times.
We Did...
We have identified a group of four youth,s aged between 15 and 20, who have been in and around the majority of incidents. Those youths have been made the subject of partnership work. Local police have teamed up with Berwick Borough Housing and Northumberland Council. These partners are working together to compile evidence of anti-social behaviour committed by the youths. The initial response has been to hold formal meetings attended by the youths, their parents, the police and the partner agencies. The youths have been presented with Acceptable Behaviour Agreements which they have signed. Following that process there has been a reduction in youth disorder. The situation will be monitored to make sure that the agreements are maintained.

There are problems with disorder in Berwick town centre on Saturday nights.
We did...
We obtained funding from partner agencies to provide additional resources that carried out licensed premises visits and gave an extra uniformed police presence on the ground between 10pm and 4am on Saturday nights throughout the summer. This resulted in reduced crime linked with alcohol and disorder.
