WE ASKED

What concerns do you have in your neighbourhood?

YOU SAID

Vehicles speeding through Humshaugh Village.

WE DID

Speed checks were carried out by motor patrol officers for one hour on Friday, 20 April, 2012.

No speeding motorists were seen on this occasion with all motorists abiding by the speed limit while officers were in attendance.

Further attention involving neighbourhood officers is planned for the next month.

What concerns do you have in your neighbourhood?

YOU SAID

Retail crime in Fore Street, Hexham, was a concern.

WE DID

Officers have held meetings with staff from various retail premises.

Crime prevention and security advice has been given and extra patrols have been directed to the area.

Store security and current intelligence was discussed at local Shopwatch meetings.

Since 25 March there have been three reports of shoplifting at premises in Fore Street.

A total of six arrests have been made in connection with these crimes.
