Neighbourhood priorities
Northumbria Police aims to meet our commitment to you.
The following Neighbourhood priorities relate to your area:
1. May 2012: Thefts from motor vehicles
"What you told us"
We noticed that there has been an increase in thefts form motor vehicles occurring overnight in the Westoe Crown and Horsley Hill areas.
"What we are doing about it"
We are conducting both plain clothes and uniformed patrols in the areas where these offences have taken place.
"Keeping you informed"
Three people have so far been arrested during the course of the operation where officers have observed offenders attempting to commit crime. Two men have been released on police bail whilst enquiries continue and a third had been charged with five offences and will appear South Tyneside Magistrates Court in the coming weeks.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team will keep the community updated through Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meetings. For more information on the meetings contact the team on 101 ext 65359.
2. May 2012: Parking Underhill Road
"What you told us"
Parking on Underhill Road in Cleadon remains a problem during key times of the week due to the proximity to a local primary school.
"What we are doing about it"
The Boldon Neighbourhood Policing Team is working with local partners and traffic enforcement to tackle bad and inconsiderate parking. Parking control measures are being considered along the affected areas on Underhill Road.

3. May 2012: Motorcycle Disorder in Colliery Woods
In response to this:
"What you told us"
That motorcycle disorder was becoming a problem in and around the Boldon Colliery Woods area, due to the lighter nights.
"What we are doing about it"
We are working with Neighbourhood Policing Teams in adjoining areas and our partners to target offenders and the vehicles they use.
