Additional patrols were carried out in areas and at the times where offences were being committed with police and partners proactively targeting suspected offenders. Compared to last years figures there has been a reduction in Burglaries with eight fewer people being the victim of this crime.

Throughout our Safer Communities Surveys you told us your long term problems are young people hanging around the streets and drunk and rowdy behaviour in public places.
We did...
The neighbourhood policing team has carried out extra patrols with anti-social behaviour officers from the local authority, additional activities have been arranged for young people to get involved with in the area, such as the XL youth village. The number of reports of disorder involving young people has reduced by almost 500 incidents across the area compared to figures from the previous year. We will continue to deal robustly with those persistently causing a nuisance to local communities.
