Theft offences and associated crime is increasing in The Galleries Shopping complex.

Offences showed a high spike in April and the early part of May so Operation Centurion 2 was introduced to replicate the success of Operation Centurion last year which led to a 35% reduction in offences in the complex.
The Operation increases the numbers of visible officers in the complex providing a deterrent and intrusive approach to offenders frequenting the it.
Since the introduction of the operation, offences have significantly reduced to last year's levels. Centurion 2 will be maintained to avoid any further crime escaltions or increases.
