We can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

We are able to disclose the located information to you as follows.

You asked:

1. I would like to know the number of police officers deployed to Newcastle racecourse for the 2024 Northumberland Plate Festival (27/06/24 - 29/06/24).

Officers were only provided for the main Plate Day on Saturday 29 June.  12 officers were provided.

2. I would also like to know what was the total cost of providing officers to police the 2024 Northumberland Plate Festival (27/06/24 - 29/06/24).

As part of the Special Police Services Charging rules, the racecourse were charged for police services.  The total invoice was £11,363.28 (£9,469.40 Net).
