Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
Thank you for your email received on the 28 October 2025 in which you provided clarification in relation to a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
Please note that this request has been aggregated with your previous request FOI/1677 with regards to time constraints under the Act, as they refer to the same subject area.
We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request, and we provide a response for your attention.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. We can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
We are able to disclose the located information to you as follows, with the below caveats to be noted:
• The data provided is correct to 12 November 2025.
• The data provided at point 1 relates to those offences where garage is recorded in the offence location. The data provided at point 2 relates to those offences where the location is recorded as either garage, shed, outhouse, out house,
or out building.

I am getting in touch to request some data on break-ins in your area please. Under the freedom of information act, we would like to request the following...
1. Total number of residential garage break-ins in your area in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 to date, broken down by calendar month.
2. Could we have the number that relate to residential garage, shed or outbuilding break-ins specifically, too.
3. Do you have the raw data for the time of day logged for each burglary?
