FOI/2185 Voyeurism Offences

Thank you for your email received on the 6 January 2026 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request, and we provide a response for your attention.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police.  We can confirm that the information you have requested is held in part by Northumbria Police.

We are able to disclose the located information to you as follows with the below caveat to be noted:

· We hold no data prior to 1 January 2020 and our response below reflects this.  Therefore, data for the year 2019/20 will be from 1 January 2020 only.

You asked:

For each of the years 2024/25, 2023/24, 2022/3, 2021/2, 2020/21 and 2019/20 (Eg X in 2020/2021):

1.  The number of recorded voyeurism offences (including but not limited to offences under Section 67 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 and the Voyeurism Act 2019).

2.  How many recorded voyeurism or "recording without consent" offences mentioned the terms below:

3.  Please provide the outcomes for any recorded voyeurism offences (including offences under Section 67 Sexual Offences Act 2003 and the Voyeurism (Offences) Act 2019) in which the offences contain any of the following keywords:
