Two men who conspired to supply drugs across the North East have been sentenced to a total of 17 and a half years behind bars.

Ryan Callaghan, 33, raped the woman while she slept at an address in South Tyneside. The victim awoke and immediately ran out of the address in a state of undress and informed a friend what had happened.
In March last year, JonPaul Elessar, 38, took naked photos of the victim without their consent when they visited his South Tyneside home – later bragging to others about what he had done.
Christopher Mason, 36, raped his victim multiple times last year at an address in South Tyneside. yesterday (Thursday), he attended the same court where he was given a 17 year and three-month prison sentence. He will also serve a further four years on extended licence once he is released.
Paul Wallis, 48, was first convicted of sexual offences in September 2021, however has breached his court order by having unsupervised contact with a child.
Mark Twizell has pleaded guilty to assisting an offender in Andrew's manslaughter in 2023. He is due to be sentenced in September.
